The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount status sassa of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service more info the area on a regular basis. The provider position made for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
